Facebook has just launched a legacy contact feature which allows family members of a deceased person to request their loved one’s Facebook profile be either shut down or changed to a “remembering” status. This is positive as many grieving families like to keep a person’s online presence as a memorial and its deletion before people can access photos etc can cause great stress. We suggest that people look at this now.
